About the RoleAre you a skilled plumber ready to take the next step in your career? Direct Earth Ltd, a locally owned and reputable Hawke’s Bay company, is offering a unique opportunity to become the 2IC of our Plumbing Division. This role is ideal for someone looking to transition from the tools into leadership, with full support and training provided. We’re a multi-disciplinary company offering electrical, building, plumbing, painting, and intelligent transport system services to prominent clients. With strong growth underway, we’re expanding our plumbing team and need a capable second-in-command to help lead the way.

Key Responsibilities: Support Leadership:  Assist the Plumbing Manager in day-to-day operations and strategic growth of the division. Team Development:  Help build and manage a high-performing team, implementing ISO-aligned policies for Quality, Environmental, and Health & Safety standards. Project Oversight:  Scope, quote, and manage plumbing projects, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery. Cross-Division Collaboration:  Work closely with other division managers and contribute to a cohesive company culture. Training & Mentorship:  Receive structured leadership training and mentoring to prepare for future management roles. What We're Looking For: Certification:  Registered certifying plumber, gas fitter, or drain layer (or a combination). Experience:

 You might be ready to step off the tools or already have some leadership experience and want to grow further. Leadership Potential:  A natural team player with a desire to lead and grow. Tech Skills:  Comfortable with Microsoft Office; Simpro experience is a plus. Culture Fit:  Someone who values family, teamwork, and work-life balance.
