Direct Support Professional

Living Innovations provides support to people with disabilities to have a good life at home and in the community.As a Direct Support Professional (DSP) for Living Innovations you will be responsible for supporting Living Innovations’ mission, vision, and values (found on our website). A DSP's primary responsibility will be for the direct care and support of Living Innovations' individuals at home or in the community. You will accomplish this by identifying and conducting activities within the context of Living Innovations’ policies and standards and support of individuals' goals. Direct Support Professionals will represent Living Innovations in all communities and situations with excellent customer service and professionalism.QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalentValid state issued driver’s license, current vehicle insurance declaration and vehicle registrationMust pass comprehensive background checks per state and company regulations/policiesCertifications will vary per state regulation and program needsSkillsAbility to make well reasoned decisions, both independently and as part of a teamAbility to use discretion in handling confidential informationMust have an interest in assisting individuals in achieving personal goals and outcomesMust possess good verbal, reading and written communicationsMust possess basic math skillsMust be able to successfully complete ALL training requirements on time, and apply knowledge to the work that is conducted.
