Job Description

Job Purpose:Lead the end-to-end Landscape & Public Realm design, development planning and construction across multi-asset projects developed by ARDARA, in accordance to development Master Plan and in line with established international sustainable principles of design and construction to effectively meet the overall vision of ARDARA and stakeholders’ expectations.Job-Specific Accountabilities:Direct the development of Landscape & Public Realm planning standards and guidelines based on leading practices and applicable laws & regulations.Direct the analysis of design and construction requirements related to land features, gardens, open spaces, fronts, public areas, community use areas, roads and access … and recommend changes as needed ensuring that they are strategically positioned to yield maximum benefits and impact to the destination and community.Oversee the development of the different stages of Landscape & Public Realm planning, from pre-concept to concept to detailed planning activities to ensure adherence to quality standards, and alignment to the overall project vision, ending with landscape construction management to ensure work been implemented as designed and within time and budget.Ensure that plans and policies affecting the public appearance of the asset(s) / project are compliant with government and regulatory requirements to reduce legislative risks.Landscape & Public Realm Construction Supervision:Oversee the revision of designs and provide recommendations variations and changes during the construction phase to enhance performance and adhere to new requirements.Administer the application of sound principles of design excellence and ensure sustainability and commercial viability of the work executed to meet requirements.Outsourcing Management:Oversee the coordination with the Commercial function to procure the required design and construction supervision services based on ARDARA’s standards and requirements, while ensuring optimal value and cost.Oversee third-party service providers including partaking in review of master plan and recommending changes as well as ensuring that further detailed plans are in line with specifications and contractual obligations, and applicable government regulations.Ensure the sound principles of design excellence, sustainability and commercial viability are represented equally in the work produced by the responsible parties.Qualification:Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Architecture or Urban Planning or equivalent from a recognized and accredited university.Master’s degree in engineering, Architecture or Urban Planning or equivalent from a recognized and accredited university is desirable.Years of Experience:14+ years of professional experience in urban planning and strategic design in a fast-paced and dynamic environment (preferably in a development company).
