The organization is committed to upholding the highest clinical standards and ethical practices across its therapeutic portfolios.Role SummaryThe Director - Medical Services is a senior leadership position responsible for directing all medical and scientific affairs within the Pharmaceuticals business unit. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the role serves as the authoritative medical voice, integrating clinical expertise with commercial strategy to ensure ethical promotion, robust medical support, and compliant operations across all product segments.Key Responsibilities1. Scientific & Clinical StrategyProvide high-level leadership and direction for all scientific and clinical support required by the pharmaceutical business unit.Contribute strategic medical expertise to market access, new product planning, and product launching initiatives.Oversee medical affairs across various therapeutic segments, ensuring all activities align with global and local clinical guidelines.2. Stakeholder Engagement & CollaborationAct as the primary medical interface, engaging actively with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), government health agencies, professional bodies, and regulatory authorities.Collaborate closely with the Sales and Marketing teams to ensure alignment between medical evidence and commercial strategy.Manage communication regarding product safety, efficacy, and therapeutic advancements.3. Compliance & GovernanceEnsure strict adherence to all local regulatory requirements, including the National Medicines Regulatory Authority (NMRA) guidelines.Guarantee ethical promotional practices are followed across all marketing and sales activities, adhering to the industry's pharmaceutical code of conduct.Oversee the management of medical information, ensuring accuracy and scientific integrity in all external communications.4. Training, Research, and TrialsDevelop and conduct high-quality medical and scientific training programs for sales representatives, marketing personnel, and other internal teams.Provide strategic oversight and medical input into clinical trials, post-marketing surveillance studies, and investigator-initiated trials (IITs).RequirementsEducation: Must possess a fundamental Medical Doctor qualification (MBBS).Experience:Minimum of 5 years of post-internship experience is mandatory.At least 3 years of experience in Medical Affairs/Services within the Pharmaceutical or Medical Device industry is essential.Skills & Attributes:Exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and cross-functional collaboration skills.Proven ability to deliver high-impact presentations to internal and external scientific audiences.Strong understanding of local regulatory frameworks and ethical pharmaceutical compliance.
