Queensland Treasury are recruiting for a new Director within our Social Policy and Analytics area to lead a high performing, collaborative high-impact team to develop and deliver a proactive social policy program that drives solutions to complex issues and enhances measurable outcomes for Queenslanders. Lead proactive social policy programs Drive cross-governmental solutions and initiatives Represent Treasury in high-level forums.Your new opportunityIn this newly created role as the Director, Social Policy and Analytics Strategy, you will provide strategic leadership in the advancement of Queensland Treasury's social policy objectives. In this role, you will lead a team that brings a whole-of-government perspective to proactive policy analysis while influencing the social policy agenda across Queensland Government.You will work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment to develop and deliver innovative initiatives and solutions addressing complex social challenges. As a highly strategic and driven individual, you will thrive in a position where you oversee a broad and impactful program of work and collaborate with diverse stakeholders across and beyond government to shape social policy outcomes that truly matter.This role is available as a permanent or temporary contract up to 12 months, or a secondment from another government department, for the right candidate to join our team.In This Role, You Will Lead and coordinate a diverse program of social policy projects, collaborating with team members, stakeholders, and communities to deliver meaningful outcomes for Queenslanders. Deliver strategic, practical, and solutions-oriented advice on social policy frameworks and practices to a range of internal and external stakeholders. Exercise judgement, authority, and influence to effectively manage client requirements and team priorities. Provide effective leadership to a diverse and multidisciplinary team, fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment, encouraging open communication, and nurturing individual strengths to deliver complex projects Work closely with clients and senior executives, building trust and understanding to deliver solutions that meet their needs and create meaningful impact. Represent Treasury with integrity and clarity in challenging discussions and high-level forums, ensuring that social policy priorities are professionally communicated and deliveredWhat Experience You Will Bring Proven experience in program and project management or driving proactive policy agendas across teams. Expertise in preparing strategic, practical, and solutions-oriented advice. A passion and ability to be an agent of change and deliver meaningful outcomes. Highly effective communication skills with the ability to tailor your message to diverse audiences, both written and verbal. Strong interpersonal skills that enable the development of trusted working relationships, and foster collaboration and the sharing of knowledge.
