In this key role, you will lead transport planning initiatives to ensure an efficient and integrated transport framework that supports the accessibility and mobility needs of our visitors and residents.As the Director of Transport Planning, you will be responsible for developing and implementing transport strategies, engaging with stakeholders, and managing teams to create innovative transport solutions that adhere to the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and sustainability.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the transportation planning process for Qiddiya, ensuring alignment with project objectives and timelinesOversee the preparation of master plans, feasibility studies, and transport models to evaluate transport needs and solutionsDevelop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies and external consultants, to ensure the integration of transport systems with regional networksCoordinate traffic impact assessments and ensure compliance with local regulations and guidelinesManage and mentor transport planning teams, fostering a culture of innovation and excellenceConduct research on emerging transportation technologies and trends to inform planning decisionsPrepare reports, presentations, and proposals for management and stakeholders to communicate transport planning strategies and recommendationsLead project updates and revisions, ensuring adaptability to changing project scopes and timelinesDevelop and implement policies and procedures to enhance transport planning practicesRequirementsBachelor's degree in Transport Planning, Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)At least 12 - 15 years of experience in transport planning with a focus on large-scale urban or infrastructure projectsStrong knowledge of transport policies, regulations, and best practicesProven experience in project management, stakeholder engagement, and team leadershipExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills to inform decision-making and planning strategiesStrong communication skills, capable of explaining complex concepts to diverse audiencesIn-depth knowledge of transport planning software and modeling toolsCommitment to sustainable transport practices and innovations.
