This role partners closely with senior leadership, providing actionable insights that drive business performance and strategic decision-making.The Director will oversee budgeting, multi-year planning, and forecasting, while delivering executive reporting and analysis. They will also lead cross-functional initiatives including financial dashboards, AI-driven process improvements, and investment modelling to enhance transparency, efficiency, and organizational impact. The ideal candidate combines strategic vision with strong analytical skills and collaborates globally to support transformation and business growth.The Director of FP&A will spearhead financial planning, forecasting, and analysis for Hitachi Digital and HD Corporate Shared Services. This role is instrumental in delivering strategic insights, enabling informed executive decisions, and improving financial performance through data-driven analysis.The rolePartner with the Head of Corporate FP&A, CFO, and business leaders to ensure financial accuracy, clarity, and insight into business performance and trends.Lead the development of annual budgets, multi-year strategic plans, and quarterly forecasts.Analyze financial results and provide data-driven insights to support executive decision-making.Build and maintain advanced financial models to guide strategic initiatives, investments, and long-term planning.Consolidate and analyze Hitachi Digital’s P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow to provide a comprehensive financial view.Prepare high-quality materials for executive leadership, board presentations, and corporate reporting.Lead cross-functional initiatives including dashboard development, AI-driven financial process enhancements, and investment modeling.Deliver actionable analysis on profitability, margin trends, and cost structure optimization.Collaborate with business unit leaders to assess performance, identify risks and opportunities, and drive continuous improvement.Partner across functions to advance strategic transformation initiatives and organizational alignment.Coordinate with Japanese counterparts to meet headquarters’ financial reporting and analysis requirements.What You’ll BringBachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field required; 10+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or strategic finance roles.Proven success in leading financial planning processes within a complex, multi-entity, or global organization.Experience in technology, digital services, or corporate shared services environments strongly preferred.Demonstrated ability to manage and develop high-performing finance teams.Skills & CompetenciesDeep expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and variance analysis.Skilled at analyzing detailed data without losing sight of the big-picture priorities.Strong business acumen with the ability to translate data into strategic insights.Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders.Experience driving process improvement and leveraging AI or automation in finance workflows.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving matrix environment and manage multiple priorities.High level of facilitation, conflict resolution, and negotiation with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.Proven ability to diagnose, analyze, and resolve complex business or financial issues while implementing effective, sustainable solutions.Skilled at analyzing detailed data without losing sight of the big-picture priorities.Advanced proficiency in Excel, financial planning systems (e.g., Adaptive, Anaplan, or Hyperion), analysis of large data sets and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).About UsWe’re a global, 1000-strong, diverse team of professional experts, promoting and delivering Social Innovation through our One Hitachi initiative (OT x IT x Product) and working on projects that have a real-world impact.
