JOB DESCRIPTIONDIRECTOR & HEAD OF CREATIVE PRODUCTION DescriptionWhere storytelling meets the future of filmmakingWe’re looking for a visionary who can blur the lines between reel and real — a storyteller who thrives both behind the camera and behind the prompt.As Director & Head of Creative Production, you’ll lead the creative and executional direction of films across live action, digital, and AI-generated formats. From high-impact brand films to experimental AI narratives, you’ll shape how stories look, feel, and move across platforms.You’ll collaborate with writers, producers, designers, and technologists to bring ideas to life with equal mastery — whether it’s directing a full-scale shoot on set or crafting a visual world in the cloud. Every frame you create will be an intersection of craft, culture, and cutting-edge creativity.ResponsibilitiesLead the conceptualisation, treatment, direction, and execution of films across live-action, digital, and AI-driven formats. Translate brand ideas and creative strategies into powerful visual storytelling.Direct shoots — from pre-production through post — ensuring every frame delivers both emotional and aesthetic impact. Across live action & AI based film-making.Explore and implement AI-driven workflows for previsualisation, production, and post-production.Collaborate with creative, strategy, design, and tech teams to develop cross-medium narratives.Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timelines and creative excellence. Review edits, refine visual tone, and ensure films meet creative and production quality benchmarks.Mentor and guide in-house AI team, DOPs, editors to raise the overall creative and technical bar.Stay ahead of emerging trends in filmmaking, visual effects, and AI-driven content creation.Qualifications7–9 years of experience in film direction and/or creative productionProven experience directing commercials, branded films, or digital films.Strong visual sensibility and storytelling instincts with a deep understanding of cinematic craft.Familiarity or strong interest in AI tools for film creation, post-production, and design.Excellent communication and leadership with the ability to collaborate across creative and technical teams with clarity and confidence.Strong leadership, project management, and communication skills.A curious, experimental mindset with the ability to adapt to new technologies and storytelling formats.Prior experience in advertising or production house setups preferred.If you believe the future of filmmaking is hybrid — part lens, part algorithm — we’d love to meet you.About The Content LabThe Content Lab is a Mumbai based creative agency, production house & creative content studio providing advertising and content solutions for the evolving digital space.
