The position requires a visionary technology leader with proven expertise in the US Healthcare Payer industry, particularly in areas such as Utilization Management, Care Management, and Provider Collaboration.The role involves leading application development, modernization, and delivery teams, ensuring projects meet business objectives, performance targets, and quality standards. Operating in a matrixed, global environment, the Director will collaborate closely with US-based counterparts, enterprise architecture, quality assurance, and business stakeholders to achieve strategic alignment and drive innovation.Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & People ManagementProvide strategic direction and inspire a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvementLead and manage a team of Developers, Product Owners, and Business Analysts, overseeing approximately 60 total resourcesConduct performance reviews, offer coaching and mentoring, and support professional development initiativesIdentify capability gaps within the team and implement targeted development strategiesFoster cross-functional collaboration and knowledge sharing through internal documentation and reusable assetsProject Delivery & ExecutionOversee the successful delivery of application development projects within the Clinical domain, ensuring adherence to scope, budget, and timelinesDrive project execution with a proactive approach to risk identification, issue resolution, and stakeholder communicationEnsure all deliverables meet high-quality and compliance standards while aligning with organizational goalsResource & Capacity PlanningDevelop and maintain comprehensive resource allocation and capacity plans, optimizing utilization across multiple initiativesCollaborate with Product Owners to define project priorities and align resource strategies accordinglyManage forecasting and workload distribution to meet both short-term and long-term delivery objectivesStakeholder Management & CommunicationBuild and maintain strong relationships with US counterparts, senior leadership, and internal business partnersAct as a trusted advisor, translating technical updates into business-relevant insightsPresent regular status updates, performance reports, and risk assessments to leadership teamsTechnical Strategy & InnovationLead technical planning and implementation for solutions involving PEGA, healthcare frameworks, and vendor integrationsContribute to defining the IT strategy and roadmap for the Clinical and Provider domainsStay current with emerging technologies, frameworks, and best practices in the healthcare IT spaceImplement Pega Blueprints leveraging Generative AI to accelerate digital transformation initiativesDevelop automation frameworks and modernization tools to enhance efficiency and system qualityRequired Qualifications15+ years of IT experience, including extensive delivery leadership in the US Healthcare Payer industryDeep domain knowledge in Clinical operations - including Utilization Management and Care ManagementStrong experience managing application development and modernization programsProven expertise in Agile methodologies, demand and capacity planning, and vendor managementSound understanding of technologies such as Mainframe, Java, APIs, and PEGAFamiliarity with data exchange standards (HL7, CCD, FHIR, X12) and healthcare interoperability conceptsExcellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder engagement skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on operational excellencePreferred QualificationsMinimum 5 years of hands-on PEGA application development experiencePega Certified Senior Systems Architect (CSSA) certification preferredExperience with Pega Healthcare Framework or Customer Decision HubLeadership CompetenciesVision: Ability to define and drive long-term technology directionCuriosity: A continuous learner who challenges the status quoCommunication: Clear and impactful communication across all levelsAccountability: Ownership of outcomes and team successIntegrity: Commitment to transparency and ethical leadershipCreativity: Ability to develop innovative and practical solutionsFlexibility: Adaptable to evolving priorities and environmentsRelationship Building: Skilled at fostering collaboration and trustProblem Solving: Strong aptitude for resolving complex challenges effectively
