We're also certified as a Great Place to Work, with 98% employee satisfaction.The role As a Director of Engineering, Platform, you will be responsible for leading essential engineering and infrastructure initiatives that will impact the entire R&D organization at Glia and all its customers.The organization includes teams in Europe and North America (including Pacific Coast timezone).You will:Set and communicate the roadmap for the Platform Engineering group based on the business needs. This includes ensuring that Glia systems remain highly secure and robust during rapid customer growth by proactively leading regional availability and recoverability, data distribution, security, and compliance projects.Lead the SRE function, review, and implement the best practices for operations for all engineering teams in the company.Lead the adoption of the DevOps approach by providing a necessary set of tools, training, and best practices.Mentor and coach Engineering Managers and Technical Leaders inside the Platform Group.Your group will consist of several engineering teams in Europe and North America (including Pacific Coast timezone), which will report to you. You will partner with CTO, Directors of Engineering, Senior Engineering Managers, and the Security and Compliance team.RequirementsExperience in software engineering and technical operations in the cloud.Passion for technology.Experience managing multiple teams and Engineering Managers.Glia is an equal-opportunity employer.
