Job Description
We’re looking for a strategic, hands-on Facilities Director to lead and scale fab operations in support of our growing semiconductor production. This role is key to building a reliable, efficient facilities infrastructure—covering everything from system setup and standards to facility upgrades, construction supervision, and operational excellence.Key Responsibilities1. Facilities Operations LeadershipOversee end-to-end facility operations (clean room, HVAC, gas systems, power, water, etc.) to ensure optimal uptime and performance.Partner closely with fab, engineering, and EHS teams to ensure facility capabilities scale with production demands.Build and manage SOPs for equipment uptime, preventive maintenance, and incident response.2. Budget and Resource ManagementDevelop and manage the operating facilities and capital expenditure (Capex) budgets.Identify cost-effective operational strategies without compromising reliability or compliance.Evaluate vendors, negotiate contracts, and manage outsourced facility services.3. Construction Supervision and Project ManagementLead and supervise all construction activities related to fab facilities, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.Coordinate with contractors, engineers, architects, and internal stakeholders to oversee facility expansions, upgrades, and new builds.Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and semiconductor fab standards throughout construction phases.Monitor project progress, resolve issues proactively, and deliver construction projects on time and within budget.4. Team Development and LeadershipHire, mentor, and lead a growing facilities team capable of supporting a high-tech, fast-moving fab environment.Create and enforce performance standards, development plans, and cross-functional collaboration processes.5. Compliance, Safety & Risk ManagementEnsure compliance with all relevant EHSS regulations, including environmental, cleanroom, and hazardous material handling.Conduct regular audits and risk assessments; develop action plans to address gaps proactively.Foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement across the team.QualificationsEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Facilities Engineering (or related discipline).Experience: 12–15+ years of progressive experience in facilities operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the semiconductor industry or advanced manufacturing.
