Responsibilities include managing financial planning and reporting, driving account retention and expansion, contributing to go-to-market strategy, and serving as a key point of contact for investors and partners.Job Type: Full-timeLocation: Fully-RemoteJob SummaryWe are seeking a strategic and motivated individual to join our leadership team in a cross-functional finance and revenue role. This position will support finance, operations, and customer success, and is ideal for someone eager to make a visible impact at a fast-growing, VC-backed startup. The role involves a variety of tasks, including financial planning, partnering with sales on strategic accounts, and contributing to overall company growth. The specific responsibilities will vary based on company priorities but generally include managing core financial operations, engaging directly with key clients and investors, and helping shape organizational strategy.Key ResponsibilitiesLead all aspects of financial planning and operations: Develop and oversee budgets, forecasts, financial models, reporting, accounting, AR and AP, and capital allocation.Drive and support strategic account retention/revenue: Align the financial strategy with sales efforts, partner with sales leaders, and engage directly with key strategic accounts for renewal, expansion, contract negotiation and product feedback.Partner with leadership on growth: Work with the CEO and team on go-to-market strategies, pricing, and organizational planning.Engage externally: Serve as a credible point of contact for VC/investor communications, due diligence, customer negotiations, and potential partner relationshipsWear multiple hats: Comfortable flexing between operational firefighting, customer pitches and negotiations, operations, KPIs, and high-level strategic decisions.QualificationsExperience in a leadership role (Director, Head, VP, or CFO/COO) at a venture-backed startup. Familiarity with reporting, hiring talent, customer contracts, and scaling operations is essentialStrong functional expertise in finance (FP&A, accounting – including AR and AP, pricing, modeling, revenue ops, contract negotiation).Demonstrated ability in sales or revenue-driving roles, ideally with direct customer engagement for renewals and partnerships.Exposure to startup go-to-market operations, SaaS or tech business models, and understanding of critical growth metrics (CAC, LTV, ARR, GM, retention).Strategic thinking, data-driven decision making, and ability to build or lead small teams (internally and consultants/ agencies externally) as you scale.Networked in the venture/startup ecosystem or at least fluent in the expectations and pace of high-growth VC-backed companies.Excellent communicator for both internal (team/executives) and external (customers/investors) audiences.Analytical, with innovative problem-solving and comfort wearing “multiple hats”.Hands-on, adaptable, and excited by ambiguity – able to work across finance, strategic account management, and operations as needed.Employee BenefitsAt Fenris, we invest in our team with competitive benefits designed to support your well-being and future growth:Comprehensive health coverage, including medical, dental, and vision insurance.Retirement planning options to help you build long-term financial security.Eligibility for performance-based bonuses aligned with company and individual success.Equity option grants that vest over time, giving you a stake in the company’s growth.About FenrisAt Fenris, you’ll find a collaborative, high-trust environment where curiosity, transparency, and impact drive everything we do.
