Director of Membership and Program GrowthBloomsburg Area YMCA | Bloomsburg, PA 📅 Full-Time | Leadership Role | Community-Focused OpportunityAbout the RoleThe Bloomsburg Area YMCA is seeking an innovative and mission-driven Director of Membership and Program Growth to lead our efforts in delivering exceptional programs and experiences for our members and community. This leadership role is central to advancing the YMCA’s mission by developing impactful programs, driving membership growth, fostering community partnerships, and ensuring operational excellence.Key Responsibilities1. Membership Growth & RetentionLead initiatives to attract, engage, and retain members.Oversee onboarding and orientation processes to ensure meaningful first impressions.Develop engagement plans and events to strengthen member involvement.Analyze membership trends, satisfaction, and demographics to inform outreach.Partner with marketing and communications to promote YMCA membership benefits and value.2. Program Development & OversightAssess program needs and trends to develop innovative programs for youth, teens, adults, seniors, and families.Collaborate with Childcare, Youth, and CRH Directors to align offerings with community priorities.Support program staff in planning, evaluation, and continuous improvement.Establish and uphold program standards, safety guidelines, and quality measures.Monitor participation, outcomes, and community impact through surveys, attendance, and feedback.3. Staff Leadership & DevelopmentHire, train, and mentor program coordinators, instructors, and membership staff.Provide coaching, performance feedback, and professional development opportunities.Foster a culture of teamwork, inclusion, and mission-driven service.Ensure staff are scheduled, supported, and equipped for success.4. Community Engagement & PartnershipsBuild and maintain relationships with schools, community groups, and partner agencies.Represent the YMCA in local networks, coalitions, and community events.Seek collaborations to expand reach, resources, and program impact.Support volunteer recruitment and engagement across membership and program activities.5. Financial StewardshipAssist in developing and managing budgets for membership and program areas.Monitor revenue and expenses; recommend strategies for growth and efficiency.Support fundraising efforts through program impact stories and donor engagement.Uphold strong fiscal practices and stewardship of YMCA resources.6. Marketing & Communications SupportCollaborate with the marketing team to highlight program and membership successes.Provide content ideas such as photos, testimonials, and stories for promotional campaigns.Ensure consistent, mission-driven messaging across all communications.7. Evaluation & ReportingTrack and report on membership trends, program participation, and community impact.Use data insights to drive improvement and strategic decision-making.Provide regular updates to the CEO, board committees, and leadership teams.8.
