Director of Nursing (DON)Caring Senior Service Part-Time | Approximately 30 Hours WeeklyCompensation: $65,000/yearAbout The RoleCaring Senior Service is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse to serve as our Director of Nursing. This essential leadership position oversees all clinical aspects of care, ensures high-quality service delivery, and supports caregivers in fulfilling our mission of helping seniors remain healthy, happy, and at home. As a Member Of Our Leadership Team, You Will Benefit FromA supportive, mission-driven environment focused on improving the lives of seniors.A culture centered on teamwork, respect, and professional growth.Meaningful daily impact through direct support of caregivers and clients.Flexible scheduling, designed to support work–life balance while meeting agency needs.This role offers a unique opportunity to lead clinically while enjoying the stability of a part-time professional schedule.Key ResponsibilitiesAdministrativeReview client files and caregiver documentation for accuracy and completeness.Conduct interviews and assist with qualified nursing hires.Participate in quarterly clinical record reviews and maintain compliance with individualized care plans.Delegate tasks to in-home aides and provide clinical direction to non-clinical staff as needed.AssessmentEvaluate clients’ physical condition, functional status, and care needs.Develop and update individualized service plans following NJ regulations and nursing best practices.Assess caregiver competency and ensure appropriate client-caregiver matching.CollaborationSupervise and train Nursing Supervisors and CHHAs.Participate in caregiver orientation and train office staff to meet client needs.Meet with families to gather information and support individualized care planning.Evaluation & Quality ImprovementMonitor client conditions and report any significant changes.Evaluate performance of Nursing Supervisors and caregivers and support ongoing development.Participate in quality improvement efforts and maintain compliance with established standards of care.On-Call ExpectationsParticipate in routine on-call duties.Answer and respond promptly using the agency-issued mobile phone.Maintain communication with caregivers and supervisory staff as needed.QualificationsCurrent RN license in good standing with the NJ Board of Nursing.At least 2 years of RN experience in community health or home health with a BSN, or 3 years without.Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.Ability to adapt, work independently, and collaborate within a care team.Comfort working with a flexible and varied schedule.Schedule & Physical RequirementsPart-time schedule of approximately 30 hours weekly.Flexible schedule with occasional evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, drive a motorized vehicle, and sit/stand for extended periods.Routine on-call participation required.Apply TodayIf you are a compassionate nursing professional seeking a leadership role with flexibility and purpose, we invite you to join Caring Senior Service.
