Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced, strategic, and execution-focused Director of Operations to lead and enhance the operational backbone of our Bermuda-based reinsurance business. This role requires a proactive leader who can manage complex vendor relationships, drive operational process design and efficiency, support capital raising initiatives and periodic investor reporting. This is a high-impact role suited for a professional with strong operational discipline, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of the life and annuity reinsurance space. Operations & Process ManagementDesign, implement, and continuously improve end-to-end operational processes to support the company’s growing reinsurance platformDevelop and maintain delivery calendars and operational workflows that support cross-functional execution and accountabilityLead the operational onboarding of new reinsurance products and treaties, coordinating with cross-functional teams, vendors, and reinsurance counterpartiesLead and manage end-to-end project delivery, ensuring timely and successful execution of reinsurance-related projectsDevelop project plans, track progress, resolve issues, and mitigate risks to ensure projects are delivered within scope and on timeVendor Management & Risk OversightServe as the primary liaison for all third-party vendors, ensuring service-level agreements (SLAs) are met and strategic partnerships are optimizedBuild and manage a robust third-party vendor risk management framework, including initial due diligence, ongoing monitoring, and remediationNegotiate vendor contracts in coordination with legal and procurement teams to ensure compliance and commercial viabilityCapital Fundraising and Investor Reporting SupportCollaborate with executive leadership and investor relations teams to prepare operational data, risk metrics, and process documentation in support of capital raising initiativesCoordinate internal cross-functional contributions to due diligence processes for prospective investors or capital providersProject-manage the creation and delivery of quarterly investor reporting packages, working across finance, actuarial, and communications teams Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or relevant graduate degree preferred• 7–10 years of experience in insurance, reinsurance, or financial services operations, ideally with a focus on life and annuity products• Strong background in vendor management and third-party risk frameworks• Proven experience building and managing complex operational workflows and cross-functional processes• Exposure to capital raising or investor relations is highly desirable• Prior experience working in or with Bermuda-based (re)insurance entities is a plusWhat We Offer You:
