We are looking to add a Director of Private Markets to the investment team, preferably in Atlanta, GA or Chicago, IL. This role will report directly to the Chief Investment Officer. As a Director of Private Markets, you will play a significant role in sourcing, evaluating, analyzing, and managing private market investments.This position requires strong communication skills, a curious and investigative mindset, and a fundamental understanding of the private fund due diligence process. Your expertise will be essential in providing strategic insights and recommendations to optimize portfolio performance and achieve investment objectives. Director of Private Markets Analyst Responsibilities:Maintain and prioritize a pipeline of opportunities across private markets, including hedge funds, private credit, and real assets, aligned to client mandates.Lead qualitative and quantitative due diligence on funds and co-investments, assessing the team, strategy, track record, and operations.Review fund documents and summarize key economics, governance, and alignment terms. Coordinate with legal/compliance. Draft detailed investment memos with clear investment theses and articulation of risk. Present findings to the Investment Committee. Monitor and evaluate existing investments, providing periodic updates and reports to the investment team. Make recommendations on position sizing, redemptions, and re-ups.Collaborate on the creation and design of comingled investment vehicles to broaden access and meet the needs of clients.Help design education for advisors and clients.Discuss new and existing investments with advisors and clients, along with the role the investment serves in the portfolio.Qualifications and Skills:Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field. CFA, CAIA, and/or MBA preferred.8-10+ years of experience in private markets performing due diligence on funds, co-investment and/or secondaries. Demonstrable experience running a private markets due diligence process, including fluency with fund documents such as PPMs and LPAs.Advanced skills in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and investment analysis. Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas and analysis to diverse audiences.Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Demonstrate integrity, professionalism, and ethical conduct in all aspects of work.A desire to grow your network. Proficiency in financial software and tools, such as Excel, Bloomberg, and real estate valuation platforms.
