This leadership position as the Director of Purchasing is responsible for managing organization-wide procurement and inventory operations, with a focus on optimizing cost, standardizing processes, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services across multiple facilities.Key Points to Consider:Complex Medical/Healthcare industry experience is a MUST.Must have excellent communication skills to effectively interact with vendors and all levels of team and management.Exceptional benefits - close to fully covered for individual and family. Comp: 140-160k based on experience.Interview process: 2-3 rounds. Key ResponsibilitiesLead centralized procurement operations for a broad range of supplies, equipment, and services, including capital acquisitionsManage enterprise-wide inventory and purchasing systems, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in tracking and reportingEstablish and refine policies and procedures to promote cost control, compliance, and operational consistencyIdentify inefficiencies and implement process improvements across procurement and distribution workflowsCollaborate with facility-level leadership to design and maintain effective supply chain strategies tailored to diverse operational needsProvide ongoing support and training on procurement platforms and related systemsPromote standardization of distribution practices across all locationsQualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s degree required7–10 years of progressive experience in purchasing and sourcing, preferably within a clinical or regulated environmentMinimum of 3 years in a supervisory or managerial capacityFamiliarity with technical equipment and specialized supply categoriesAdvanced proficiency in spreadsheet and database tools for data handling and reportingStrong coordination skills to align cross-functional teams toward shared goalsDemonstrated ability to lead, manage, and build collaborative relationships across operational and clinical teamsExcellent communication, organizational, and analytical skillsCapable of managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines in a dynamic environment
