Director of Technical Services Location: The Fullerton Hotel Singapore and The Fullerton Bay Hotel Singapore About the roleThe Director of Technical Services is responsible for leading the strategic planning and execution of all engineering and technical operations across the two properties. This role will oversee asset enhancement projects and drive the overall scope of technical support required in existing and upcoming hotel management agreements. This candidate will ensure that the hotel’s infrastructure, systems, and facilities meet luxury standards while supporting the brand’s long-term development and expansion objectives.Key ResponsibilitiesAsset Enhancement and Development Projects:Lead the planning, budgeting, and execution of major rejuvenation and refurbishment projects.Collaborate with design consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and high-quality project delivery.Contribute to the development and validation of improvement plans, including technical assessments and recommendations.Ensure all works comply with regulatory requirements, safety standards, and brand guidelines.Liaise closely with the Engineering team on all project matters, including critical path planning and project completion timelines.Take full ownership of existing and newly-assigned hotel projects, ensuring successful handover to Hotel Operations.Review and coordinate layouts and specifications for both Front-of-House and Back-of-House areas to ensure functionality and practicality.Conduct design review of MEP systems and Fire Life Safety at a critical stage, integrating considerations across landscape architecture, interior design, sustainability, structural elements and facility design.Liaise with all relevant stakeholders and operating departments to ensure their input is incorporated into the design process.Review drawings and specifications submitted by design consultants.Ensure compliance with architectural, landscape, interiors and construction standards.Other Responsibilities:Be proficient in evaluating Architectural, ID and M&E drawings,  and be conversant in providing feedback where necessary.Review ID and FF&E packages, including drawings, mock-ups, sample approvals and FF&E schedules.Attend mock-up room evaluations and prepare detailed review reports.Advise and support Project Managers to ensure completion within approved development budgets.Monitor adherence to project timelines and proactively manage variations to align with company branding specifications and service standards.Requirements:Minimum Diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.8–10 years of relevant experience in a similar role within the luxury hospitality industry.Strong familiarity with all phases of project management and technical services.
