The Director also leads category level New Product Development opportunities and effectively leverages his/her team to support Merchandising and Product development.Key Responsibilities30% Growth - Develop and grow NPD category wide solutions by effectively apply Industrial and Design engineering resources working together with Product Development Merchants 20% Leadership - Coach and develop by upgrading talent, develop associates and prepare the organization for growth 20% Operations - Oversee and prioritize the development of Value Engineering Costing Models, Value Add and NPD work 30% Strategy - Develop, coordinate and operationalized strategies to increase Product and Engineering support to enable PB growth Direct Manager/Direct ReportsThis Position typically reports to VP Product and Engineering This Position has 5 Direct Reports Travel RequirementsTypically requires overnight travel 5% to 20% of the time.Physical RequirementsMost of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.Working ConditionsLocated in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.Minimum QualificationsMust be eighteen years of age or older. Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
