Annually, Valmet Flow Control Business Area delivers around 400 000 valves, 80 000 actuators and positioners similarly.We are seeking a visionary and strategic leader to join our team as the Director, R&C and Re & G Industry Hub. In this role, you will lead one of three strategic industry hubs in BL Flow Control. In addition to managing your direct team, you are responsible for coordinating industry professionals globally located in BL Flow Control market areas. You will be responsible for ensuring Valmet Flow Control success in the refining, chemicals, renewables and gasses strategic industries. You will look for new applications, technology suppliers, project sales opportunities and equipment manufacturers globally and nurture opportunities for Valmet Flow Control to become a preferred supplier for end users, EPCs and OEMs. You are keen to follow and forecast industry development and trends to guide Valmet Flow Control product development priorities and prioritize sales efforts.You have the foresight to plan for tomorrow, as well as the ability to focus the organization on executing today. Success in this position is measured by the leaders’ ability to drive results through inspiring people. In this role, you report to VP, BU Projects and OEM and have a seat in the Business Unit’s management team where you play an active role in participating in and influencing on key decisions impacting the whole Flow Control business area.Your Main Responsibilities Will IncludeProvide up-to-date industry knowledge and forecasts to support all BL Flow Control businesses.Manage and take together the Flow Control industry specialists globally in the different market areas. Create and organize efficient working methods, processes and information sharing for the team.Organize the global project sales team and market area front line teams to manage sales projects from the early LEAD and FEED phases into EPC Award and final valve procurement contract.Coordinate globally with market areas to work systematically with technology licensors to get Valmet into the Approved Vendor List of attractive applications.Follow up the industry state of the art requirements and identify future technology trends for flow control. Contribute to Valmet flow control decisions on technology development plans and strategy.Develop and implement processes to harvest and accelerate new applications and business opportunities for Valmet Flow Control at the area of refining, chemicals, renewables and gases.Develop and implement a comprehensive industry strategy that supports the company’s goals and objectives.Participate in Business Unit Projects and OEM management team and contribute to leading and developing the whole Flow Control business area.Our Key Requirements For The Role AreBachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.Proven experience in a sales or sales management role in EPC and OEM market.Strong experience from working with and selling to customers in one or several of refining, chemicals, renewables or gasses industries.Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.Demonstrated ability to manage and develop a global team.Strategic thinker with a track record of aligning opportunities and innovation with business objectives.Strong understanding of technology trends, best practices, and industry standards in industrial valves is an assetPreferred locations: Current Flow Control Business Line locations.For further information, please contact Tuomo (tuomo.paukkula@valmet.com, mobile +358 503302623) either on 20.10.25 at 15 - 17 or on 22.10 at 09 - 11 (Finnish time)Please send your application and CV by October 28th at the latest.When everything works togetherValmet is where the best talent from a wide variety of backgrounds comes together.
