The Director Sales & Marketing Rentals (global) leads the strategic and operational growth of the mobile water treatment business. This role is responsible for defining and executing commercial strategies across regions to capture market share, increase profitability, and strengthen customer relationships. The role oversees sales across regions, pricing, proposals, commercial terms, marketing alignment, and regional business development efforts. The position drives cross-functional alignment with operations, and technical teams to deliver customer-centric and sustainable mobile solutions. A critical focus is placed on expanding rental revenues, improving win rates, and fostering long-term partnerships in industrial markets through differentiated commercial offerings.Positioning:The Director Sales & Marketing Rentals reports to the Managing Director Rentals. Essential duties and responsibilities:Sales management & leadership across regionsLead global rental sales strategy and execution, aligning targets and forecasts across key regions.Build, coach, and support high-performing regional sales teams, including key account management.Monitor pipeline performance, deal velocity, and customer retention across territories. Strategic business developmentIdentify growth opportunities in industrial markets.Drive market entry strategies in emerging regions and develop strategic partnerships.Translate customer needs into scalable commercial offerings, including temporary and emergency services.Pricing, proposals & contract managementOwn global pricing models, ensuring competitiveness, profitability, and consistency.Oversee proposal processes and coordinate complex bid responses with technical and operations teams.Define and negotiate commercial terms, including SLAs, rental duration, mobilization scope, and risk clauses. Marketing & brand positioningAlign with marketing to position the rentals offering globally, including campaigns, lead generation, and thought leadership.Represent the company at international industry events and manage public-facing commercial messaging.Drive digital marketing adoption to support regional commercial goals.Commercial strategy & performanceShape and execute the global commercial roadmap for rentals, aligned with corporate goals and sustainability targets.Analyse market trends, customer insights, and competitive benchmarks to inform decisions.Define and monitor KPIs for growth, margin, win rate, utilization, and customer satisfaction.Cross-functional collaborationCollaborate with product, QHSE, operations, supply chain departments, finance, and legal to ensure seamless delivery of customer commitments.Provide commercial input into fleet development, service innovation, and digital business models.Preferred qualifications and experienceBachelor’s degree in engineering, Business, or a related field; MBA preferred.10+ years of commercial leadership experience in B2B industrial services, ideally in water, energy, or environmental sectors.Strong track record in international business development and sales team leadership.Experience with rental or temporary mobile service models is highly advantageous.Deep understanding of pricing strategy, customer negotiations, and complex contract structures.Travel RequirementsUp to 50% global travel required, with regular engagement across regions. Must hold a valid passport and be able to travel frequently on short notice.
