Job PurposeLead and oversee the organization’s treasury and cash management functions to ensure optimal liquidity, risk control, and financial resilience. The Director is responsible for developing and implementing cash management strategies, optimizing banking relationships, managing financial risks, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal requirements. This role ensures the effective stewardship of cash resources and supports the organization’s strategic and operational objectives through robust treasury governance and reporting. Job Specific Accountabilities Treasury Operations & Cash Management Oversee daily cash operations to ensure adequate liquidity for operational, investment, and financing needs. Monitor and manage cash positions, intercompany funding, and short-term investment portfolios. Develop and implement cash pooling, forecasting, and liquidity management frameworks to optimize efficiency and cost. Maintain robust internal controls to safeguard financial assets and ensure accuracy of treasury transactions. Banking & Stakeholder Management Establish, maintain, and enhance strategic relationships with banks, financial institutions, and rating agencies. Negotiate banking arrangements, credit facilities, and optimize banking structures to minimize cost and mitigate risk. Represent SOPC in all treasury-related discussions with external stakeholders, auditors, and regulators. Risk Management Identify, assess, and manage treasury-related risks including foreign exchange, interest rate, liquidity, and counterparty exposures. Develop and execute hedging and risk mitigation strategies aligned with the organization’s financial policies. Ensure full compliance with internal financial policies, external regulations, and best practice standards in treasury management. Reporting & Governance Provide accurate and timely treasury reports, liquidity forecasts, and cash flow analyses to the CFO, executive leadership, and Board. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to liquidity, investment performance, and cost of capital. Lead continuous improvement initiatives through automation, adoption of digital treasury tools, and process enhancements.
