About The RoleWeâre looking for an experienced and values-driven Medical Operations Director to lead and scale Dispensedâs operations in New Zealand.
In this pivotal role, youâll blend clinical insight with operational leadership to ensure patients receive seamless, safe, and regulated access to alternative therapies. Youâll work remotely, collaborating closely with our Australian team while owning the end-to-end operations in New Zealand. What You'll DoLead operations for Dispensed NZ with a clinical-first mindset. Maintain an in-depth understanding of the New Zealand alternative medicine landscape, including patient pathways, competitors, and relevant schemes. Build and manage relationships with regulatory bodies, suppliers, and industry stakeholders. Own the patient journey from prescription to deliveryâensuring clarity, compliance, and care at every step.
Oversee day-to-day operations of Dispensed NZ, ensuring safety, compliance, and efficiency. Hold regular syncs with Dispensed Australia to align on strategy, milestones, and KPIs. Prepare and deliver reports on operational performance and regulatory updates. Monitor evolving regulations and ensure ongoing compliance. Support HR and recruitment processes, including interviewing new contractors or employees. Ensure audit-readiness with appropriate documentation and reporting. What Youâll NeedMedical or clinical background (nursing, doctor, allied health, pharmacy, clinical operations, or similar). Deep understanding of New Zealandâs legislation around alternative medicine, including the Misuse of Drugs Regulations 2019. Experience in operations, practice management, or business leadership.
Proven ability to manage compliance in a regulated healthcare environment. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, startup-style environment. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Organised, proactive, and solution-oriented. Passionate about improving patient access and care through alternative therapies.
