Distribution Engineer- Entry Level

The Associate Distribution Engineer will support the development of electrical distribution system designs and construction work packages for overhead and underground systems. This role involves both field and office work, providing exposure to utility engineering, construction standards, and coordination of complex distribution projects.Key Responsibilities:Develop design and construction work packages for electrical distribution systems (4kV–138kV).Conduct field inspections, perform engineering calculations, and support construction projects.Prepare permitting documents and assist with easements, ROW applications, and work permits.Perform root cause analysis of outages and implement mitigation strategies.Ensure compliance with safety, design, and quality standards.Collaborate with technical leads and cross-functional teams to meet project goals.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering (ABET-accredited).Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).Ability to perform fieldwork, travel as required, and work in outdoor environments.Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.Preferred Skills/Experience:Experience with distribution design tools (BOUD, Pole Foreman, SOCKET, Spida-Calc, etc.).Familiarity with CAD tools, MicroStation, and GIS.Knowledge of NESC standards and utility design practices.Pay Range: $25/hr to $30/hrThe Company offers the following benefits for this position, subject to applicable eligibility requirements: medical insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, life insurance, long-term disability insurance, short-term disability insurance, paid parking/public transportation, (paid time , paid sick and safe time , hours of paid vacation time, weeks of paid parental leave, paid holidays annually – These all are subject to applicable eligibility).
