As our Distribution Excellence Manager, you’ll be at the forefront of shaping a high-performing, future-ready distribution network across APAC and China.This is your opportunity to lead impactful initiatives in digital transformation, sustainability, and operational excellence—while working with a dynamic, cross-functional team.Be the driving force behind operational excellence and innovation in distribution.No relocation assistance will be offered.Core ResponsibilitiesDefine and implement best-in-class distribution standards at Distribution centres. Establish and enforce distribution standards across all centres, ensuring compliance with safety, environmental requirements, and operational excellence. Develop a governance structure to uphold these standards.Process and risk management controls. Create and maintain robust process and risk management controls to ensure product integrity and operational continuity. Collaborate with Procurement and Distribution teams for regular risk management reviews and implement effective mitigation strategies.Drive Distribution Process Excellence. Lead initiatives to enhance distribution processes and develop a pipeline of Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) within the team. Ensure all Value Stream Maps (VSMs) and distribution processes (including SAP processes) are current and well-documented.Team Leadership. Lead and mentor a team that supports Distribution SAP processes, ensuring that the system is effectively utilized to enhance operational workflows and data accuracy.Supplier Performance Management. Develop and implement KPIs dashboards for key suppliers, focusing on service levels, cost efficiency, and adaptability to market changes. Support quarterly business reviews with suppliers, particularly 3P contract logistics partners.Benchmarking and Improvement. Analyse 3P contract logistics performance across APAC CN, identifying opportunities for improvement and aligning with industry practices.Digital Initiatives Lead digitization efforts, including automation, TMS, ERP upgrades, and advanced data analytics, to enhance visibility and decision-making across the distribution network.Drive sustainable logistics, in line with our Global Distribution sustainability goals.Fuel Continuous improvement. Support the implementation of programs to enhance cost efficiency, accuracy, and customer satisfaction. Collaborate with the Distribution Performance Manager and team members to build a robust productivity pipeline.Build Capabilities for the Future Develop operational excellence capabilities through training, coaching, and deployment of standardized tools and frameworks.Play your part in our team succeedingThe Distribution Excellence Manager plays a critical role in driving operational excellence across the APAC CN distribution network. This role is responsible for building best-in-class standards for our distribution centre operations, optimizing logistics performance, and leading digital and sustainability initiatives. The Distribution Excellence Manager will collaborate and co-lead continuous improvement initiatives, implement best practices to enhance the overall performance of distribution operations.Do you have what it takes?Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.Minimum 8 years of experience in distribution, logistics, or supply chain operations.Proven track record in managing 3PLs, driving performance improvements, and implementing best practices.Strong knowledge of FMCG-specific logistics challenges, including high volumes, small deliveries, high SKU turnover, and promotional demand spikes.Experience with WMS, TMS, and ERP/SAP systems; proficiency in data analysis tools.Demonstrated experience in managing stakeholders, working in a diverse and multi-functional working environment.Strong problem-solving skills, experienced in mining insights from various data sources, and strong presentation skills.Team oriented, possesses good interpersonal and communication skills and able to manage assigned responsibilities independently.Certification in Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies is desirable.Experience in leading digital transformation and sustainability initiatives in logistics is a plus.APICS CLTD, CPIM, CSCP, certification is a plus.Applications are reviewed on an ongoing basis.
