Job Description

Our procurement team is growing, and we are now looking for a Division Director for the Auto Category who can join our company and contribute to the strategic development of our Auto portfolio.Main Responsibilities:• Defines and proposes the purchasing strategy for products within the Auto Division, in alignment with the company’s development strategy and objectives • Monitors and anticipates market trends in the automotive sector (spare parts, accessories, consumables, aftermarket) and acts accordingly to improve performance and ensure category growth • Prospects the market, including commercial and delivery conditions, in order to enhance key performance indicators (cost, quality, delivery time, availability) • Makes recommendations for introducing new subcategories, brands, or product ranges, or for optimizing existing ones, based on market evolution and customer behavior • Negotiates contractual terms with suppliers — manufacturers, distributors, and aftermarket partners — in line with the company’s strategy • Defines and proposes pricing and promotional policies for products within the Auto category, with the objective of meeting customer expectations and increasing loyalty • Coordinates the sales and purchasing plan, ensuring alignment between market demand and supply planning • Leads the division team, fostering trust-based relationships and ensuring excellent collaboration with both external partners and internal stakeholdersSkills and Competencies:• Leadership: coaches, develops, and evaluates team members, fostering a performance-driven culture • Entrepreneurial mindset: treats the division as their own business; creative, solution-oriented, and results-focused • Time and stress management: able to set clear priorities for themselves and the team to ensure business continuity • Commitment to company values: integrity, respect, sincerity, customer orientation, involvement, rigor, enthusiasm• Good English knowledge and MS Office skills • Proactivity and innovation in managing technical and customer-facing solutions • Demonstrates integrity, respect, creativity, rigor, and customer orientation• Minimum 5 years of experience in product management, procurement, or a technical/commercial role in the auto or related industries.Additional InformationWe expect all candidates to send us the application documents by the 20th of December at recrutare@altex.ro.Recruitment and Selection Steps• Submitting applications by 20th of December • All application documents will be reviewed by 28th of December, and only applicants fulfilling all job and profile requirements will be considered eligible for the next step • Eligible applicants will be invited to take a written assessment • Final interviewApplication Documents Required• CV • Cover letter explaining why you want to join Altex and what personal and professional qualities you can bring; please mention your educational diploma(s) in the cover letter • Minimum two employment references from former employersWe reserve the right to proceed with recruitment processes only with candidates who have demonstrated civic behavioral integrity, and by applying to this role, you confirm that you are not registered in the criminal record.We look forward to receiving your application and hopefully welcoming you to our team!
