There is never a dull moment with us.Group/DivisionWith over 40 years of semiconductor process control experience, chipmakers around the globe rely on KLA to ensure that their fabs ramp next-generation devices to volume production quickly and cost-effectively. Enabling the movement towards advanced chip design, KLA's Global Products Group (GPG), which is responsible for creating all of KLA’s metrology and inspection products, is looking for the best and the brightest research scientist, software engineers, application development engineers, and senior product technology process engineers. The Film and Scatterometry Technology (FaST) Division provides industry leading metrology solutions for worldwide semiconductor IC manufacturers. The FaST Division portfolio of metrology products includes hardware and software solutions for optical film thickness, optical critical dimension (CD), composition, and resistivity measurement systems. These products are essential for the IC manufacturers as they provide critical metrology capabilities for the development and implementation of their advanced IC processes. The FaST division is committed to support our customers to achieve performance entitlement of our solution and we effectively partner with our customers from their early research and development phase to the high volume in-line manufacturing implementation specific for their process needs. The division consists of a global team located in US, Israel, China, and India.Job Description/Preferred QualificationsTechnical ExpertiseAlgorithm Development & OptimizationDesign and implement advanced Machine Learning algorithms for optical metrology systems.Proficiency in Python and Excel; experience with C++ and MATLAB is a plus.Hands-on experience with PyTorch and TensorFlow; familiarity with MLOps is a strong advantage.Write robust production quality source code. Rapid prototype and validate new machine learning, deep learning algorithms.Data AnalysisAbility to analyze large datasets and validate models for accuracy and robustness.Onsite Technical SupportProvide technical support for Applications Engineers in Korea, including recipe tuning and troubleshooting.Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in fab environments.CollaborationWork closely with software, hardware, and systems teams to integrate algorithms into production tools to provide solutions to KLA customers.Work with both internal and external customers to define the requirements for next-generation algorithms to solve leading-edge metrology problems.Give presentations both internally and externally regarding the work.Collaborate effectively with global engineering teams to ensure seamless deployment and continuous improvement.Preferred AttributesExperience in semiconductor process control and metrology systems.Ability to formulate problems into mathematical equations.Great teammate with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work.Familiarity with advanced process nodes and recipe development for complex layers.Minimum QualificationsBachelor’s + 5 years, Master’s + 3 years, or Ph.D. with relevant experience.Proven track record of ML/DL model deployment in production environments.We offer a competitive, family friendly total rewards package.
