Assistant Director of Nursing - Digital HealthHSE Dublin and MidlandsDML-11-25-213Location:There is currently one specified purpose 2 year (24month), whole-time vacancy available in one of the HSE Dublin & Midlands Corporate Offices. The line manager is open to engagement in respect of flexibility but the post holder must be agreeable to one day each week on site at Bridgewater Business Centre, Islandbridge, Dublin 8.A panel may be formed as a result of this campaign for Assistant Director of Nursing (Band 1) –Nursing & Midwifery Information Officer – Digital Health from which current and future, specified purpose vacancies of full or part-time duration may be filled.Purpose of Post: The purpose of this post is to provide Nursing and Midwifery leadership in the successful implementation, adoption and optimisation of Digital for Care projects commencing with the National Shared Care Record (NSCR) across the Dublin & Midlands region.The post holder will ensure that the Nursing and Midwifery workforce is enabled to effectively contribute to and benefit from integrated digital care records. The ADON Digital Health information officer will act as a key conduit between national and regional technology and transformation teams, to enable local implementation teams embed and sustain digital systems. AndHave successfully completed a post registration programme of study, as certified by the education provider, which verified that the applicant has achieved a National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ) major academic Level 8 or higher award maintained by Quality & Qualifications of Ireland (QQI) or can provide written evidence from the Higher Education Institute that they have achieved the number of ECTS credits equivalent to a Level 8 or higher standard in a health care or management related area. And Candidates must possess the requisite clinical, leadership, managerial and administrative knowledge and ability for the proper discharge of the duties of the office. Annual RegistrationPractitioners must maintain live annual registration in the General NurseDivision, and other divisions as relevant to the specific service, of theRegister of Nurses and Midwives, as appropriate, maintained by the Nursing& Midwifery Board of Ireland [NMBI] (Bord Altranais agus Cnáimhseachais na hÉireann).And(ii)Practitioners must confirm annual registration with NMBI to the HSE by wayof the annual Patient Safety Assurance Certificate (PSAC).HealthA candidate for and any person holding the office must be fully competent and capable of undertaking the duties attached to the office and be in a state of health such as would indicate a reasonable prospect of ability to render regular and efficient service.CharacterEach candidate for and any person holding the office must be of good characterPost Specific Requirements:Demonstrate experience in implementation of clinical information system processes.
