Dock Supervisor

TST-CF Express is located across Canada wide, and through its strategic partnerships provides transportation services across North America.We are currently looking to hire Dock Supervisor Reporting to the Operations Manager, this position is responsible for the efficient operation of a high-volume dock within the Mississauga terminal.Some Important factors to consider:Knowledge of City DispatchFlexibility on shift (Late finish, early start)Excellent use of technology (MS Excel is a must)Knowledge of Routemax is an assetProven track record of meeting KPI/GoalsLong-term commitment (3+ years in previous roles)Basic Duties:Leads and inspires the dock team to achieve operational goals and KPIsHistory of disciplining dock employees and strong ability to direct and communicate with both employees and managers and ensures all dock employees are operating in a safe and efficient manner.Ability to multitask, while ensuring all service freight is loaded out in a timely mannerGreat knowledge of GTA and surroundingsEnsures all outbound loads depart on time and full as per network scheduleDrives revenue growth through accessorial/cubing/reweigh activitiesUtilizes the staffing/equipment levels that are aligned with volumes and budgetProvides daily accurate reporting of KPIs and activitiesMonitors and checks dock processes frequently to ensure quality and complianceDirects the dock team effectively with clear communicationEnsures all resources the dock team requires are available and in working orderCollaborates with other supervisors and managers in the pursuit of continuous improvementComplies with all Corporate policies and proceduresQualifications & Experience Required:Possesses a high level of energy and willingness to learnMinimum of 2 to 7 years of transportation and supervisory experience.College or University Degree preferredLTL experience an assetSupervising in a union environment an assetDemonstrates the ability to adapt well to changeExcellent practical approach to problem solvingCustomer service orientedExcellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenPossesses exceptional personal integrity and strong valuesHas the courage and conviction to do “the right thing”Leads by example, results drivenEducation:Post-secondary education or equivalent preferredHow to Apply:Interested candidates are also invited to submit their cover letter and resume on IndeedWe thank all applicants for their interest, however only those who meet the above qualifications will be contacted.
