This individual is responsible for leading HR initiatives across multiple focus areas, including employee relations, compliance, recruitment, benefits, onboarding, learning and development, and data reporting. Additionally, this role entails mentoring junior team members and contributing to long-term HR strategy. As a trusted partner to leadership and a champion of organizational culture, the HR Generalist II ensures every employee experience is meaningful, inclusive, and aligned with our mission.

Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesSupport full-cycle recruitment efforts, including posting job ads, sourcing and screening candidates, coordinating interviews, and assisting hiring managers to attract top talent while ensuring a positive candidate experienceAdminister and manage employee benefit programs including enrollment, changes, terminations, employee inquiries, and vendor communications; ensure benefit plans remain compliant, cost-effective, and aligned with employee needs. Lead the coordination of onboarding and orientation for all new hires, ensuring a consistent and engaging employee experience across all departments.

Serve as a strategic partner to managers, advising on employee relations, performance management, HR policy interpretation, and change management to support engagement, business outcomes, and organizational transitions. Manage moderately complex employee relations issues, conduct investigations, and collaborate with HR leadership to resolve concerns with professionalism, fairness, and confidentiality. Oversee visa and work authorization processes, ensuring timely submissions and ongoing compliance with legal and company standards. Maintain and update employee records in the HRIS system; ensure accuracy, data integrity, and compliance with local and federal labor laws.

Facilitate HR communications and change management efforts that align with company tone and values, ensuring effective delivery across all levels. Support HR systems optimization, evaluate emerging HR technologies, and lead continuous improvement initiatives to drive efficiency, automation, and data integrity. Create and analyze HR reports and dashboards related to headcount, turnover, engagement, and other key metrics; provide insights and recommendations based on trends. Coach and mentor HR Generalists and Coordinators on daily operations, tools, and best practices. Collaborate on policy development and updates, internal audits, and compliance reviews.

Serve as a project lead on department-wide HR programs including wellness initiatives, performance reviews, engagement surveys, and L&D events. Take ownership of assigned components of Docomo’s Apprenticeship and Learning & Development programs; assist in curriculum mapping, tracking outcomes, and aligning career development goals. Be our additional fun-gineer. Work closely with the team to plan, organize, and facilitate engagement activities and recognition events to boost morale and build cross-functional connections. Data & Systems Proficiency – Utilizes HR systems, tools, and reports to support data-driven decisions and ensure process efficiency. Maintains trust through responsible stewardship of employee data and HR processes.

Workplace Safety & Responsibility – Adheres to safety and security procedures, promptly reports concerns, and encourages a safe, inclusive, and supportive work environment for all employees. Required Skills/AbilitiesUnderstanding of employee lifecycle processes and HR best practices. Familiarity with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations (e. g. , FLSA, FMLA, EEO, ADA). Ability to build positive working relationships across departments and levels of the organization. Demonstrated commitment to a positive employee experience and being a culture ambassador. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve routine HR issues while knowing when to escalate complex matters.

Knowledge with visa processes, employee relations, and HR communications. Demonstrated ability to build credibility with stakeholders and lead HR initiatives with minimal supervision. Experience with HRIS platforms (e. g. , Paycom) and HR data reporting tools. Familiarity with L&D frameworks, engagement strategies, and talent sourcing and pipeline development. Education/ExperienceMinimum 2 years of HR Generalist experience, including experience with benefits administration, compliance, and HR law (ACA, FMLA, etc. ) or experience comparable.

Bachelor’s Degree preferred but if you have comparable work experience that works too!HR certification is preferred but not required; must be working towards obtaining one within a year of start date. Experience with L&D frameworks, engagement strategies, and talent sourcing and pipeline development. Work ScheduleThis is a standard full-time role. During peak HR periods or special events, a flexible schedule may be required based on department and company needs.
