Job Description

RoleReporting to the Document Control Manager, the Document Controller is responsible for maintaining the integrity and accuracy of project documents. You will oversee the company's document management system, ensuring that all documentation is properly classified, archived, and accessible to relevant stakeholders. This role is critical for supporting project teams and ensuring compliance with internal and external documentation standards.ResponsibilitiesEstablish and maintain effective document control processes and proceduresEnsure timely processing, classification, and distribution of project documents, including contracts, drawings, and specificationsMaintain document version control and ensure proper archiving and retrieval of documentsConduct regular audits of documents to ensure compliance with established standardsAssist project teams with document-related inquiries and support documentation requirements for project deliverablesCoordinate transmittals and ensure that all documentation is approved and meet corporate document control policiesSupport training and guidance for project staff on documentation standards and best practicesContribute to the continuous improvement of document management systems and processesRequirementsQualificationsPost-secondary education in Business Administration, Records Management, or a related field is preferred3-5 years of experience in document control or records management, preferably in the engineering or construction industryFamiliarity with document management software (EDMS) such as Aconex, Procore, or similar systems is an assetStrong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and WordExcellent attention to detail and organizational skillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work under pressure and prioritize tasks effectivelyTeam-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solvingBenefitsBenefitsExtended Healthcare Plan (Medical, Disability, Dental & Vision)Paid Time Off BenefitsTraining & DevelopmentEmployee Assistance Program - CounselingRPP - Group RRSP
