Role Objective The incumbent will work closely with the CDIO in leading Doha Bank’s Data Intelligence & Analytics department including but not limited to data governance, data operations and MIS. The incumbent will lead collaboration with the relevant stakeholders in identifying data analytics solutions to continually improve performance, reduce risks, and increase efficiencies across bank-wide functions. The job holder will lead the designing, building and implementing Big Data Analytics solutions/tools to meet data and analytics needs across the Bank.
The job holder will lead the development of Enterprise Data Management Framework and optimize data delivery and management across the enterprise, in accordance with best practices and data governance framework. Detailed Roles and Responsibilities: STRATEGICContribute towards the formulation/implementation of overall DS&IT strategy /goals and align Data Intelligence & Analytics function towards the same. Work closely with the CDIO in defining the scope and goals of the overall Data Intelligence & Analytics strategy and value proposition based on based on organizational requirements/ market trends.
Work closely with the relevant stakeholders in defining the scope and goals of the overall data strategy and processes, including, but not limited to database design, structure and tools based on based on organizational requirementsExtend support to the CDIO in development of key performance metrics pertaining to Data Intelligence & Analytics department, to measure success and identify opportunities for optimization. Extend support to the CDIO in budget planning and forecasts for Data Intelligence & Analytics department. Work closely with the Team Leads to ensure budgetary compliance.
Oversee the development of and oversee effective implementation of data and analytics technology strategies and roadmaps, and data governance approach to enhance the functional capabilities, in line with the overall Information tech. strategies/goals. Develop the scope and goals of the overall IT architecture and value proposition based on based on organizational requirements. OPERATIONALOversee development and implementation of policies & procedures for the Data Intelligence & Analytics function to ensure efficient and flawless operations. Oversee to ensure documentation and communication of long term and economical and optimized solutions for the Data Intelligence & Analytics needs of Doha Bank.
Lead the development of streamlined work processes and procedures related to different units within the department, in line with industry best practices and approved policy parameters. Work closely with the CDIO in optimizing Costs and ROI in terms of Data Intelligence & Analytics investments. Work closely with the Digital solutions and technology team in formulation of the data and analytics architecture/ capabilities across the enterprise. Oversee the team and work cross-functionally in delivering scalable solutions through leveraging data assets to meet business needs.
Guide the team in liaison efforts with the Business Units / Products teams to define data analytics requirements, and challenging business needs into impactful and scalable data solutions. Lead/direct data migration and integration projects, including but not limited to project plan formulation, risk identification/mitigation, implementation, and in execution of post-project evaluation through relevant data metrics. Lead the team in design and development of automated reporting solutions for enhancing business capabilities. Provide guidance to the stakeholders on matters related to analytics methods and tools / Big Data projects, best practices and innovative research & development in the digital/tech sphere.
Oversee implementation of innovative solutions using advanced data analytics. PEOPLE MANAGEMENTAllocate work deliverables and supervise direct reports in their day-to-day tasks and guide them in managing their performance by providing appropriate feedback and counseling. Provide recommendations to the CDIO on hiring and promotions. Support the recruitment team in screening candidates sourced for the Department, in accordance with the job specifications/requirements. Support the employees of the Department for setting career goals, in alignment with the functional and organizational objectives. Educational Qualifications:
University graduate with a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Engineering or any other related technical discipline. Master’s degree in Management/ Technology any other related discipline will be an added advantage. Experience: 15-20 years of total experience in financial services/banking industry, entailing responsibilities pertaining to the specific area of discipline. Proven experience in program management within emerging digital landscapes in consulting area will be an added advantagePrevious experience in Data Science space in developing data driven products, with Lean/ user centered design approach
