BackgroundThis leadership role heads the Operational Accounting & Compliance team within EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa). This role has overall responsibility for all transactional, compliance and financial reporting activities across the EMEA region, which generates approximately $30 million in annual sales across six locations, including United Kingdom, Ireland, France, Luxembourg, Germany and PolandThis position reports to the Director of Operational Accounting & Compliance – International and will support the wider Finance team in the day-to-day running of the Finance Department.

This highly visible role is an exciting opportunity to join a progressive, evolving organisation and play an integral part in its growth and transformation across the International region. ResponsibilitiesProvide direct leadership of the EMEA Compliance and Reporting teams and oversee all financial reporting processes across the region. Support the sales quotation process and ensure timely billing of customer invoices and cash collection for the region. Manage monthly financial close processes under US GAAP in accordance with DFIN’s corporate policies.

Oversee the preparation and submission of statutory financial reports and tax filings for all EMEA legal entities, including VAT returns and US corporate reporting. Manage day-to-day banking, accounts receivable and accounts payable, revenue and expense reporting, job costing. billing, cash collection to ensure all company processes are being followed and company assets are protected. Lead the quarterly and year-end financial reporting process, liaising with external auditors, local statutory providers and corporate headquarters to ensure all internal and external reporting is completed accurately and on time. Identify inefficiencies in current processes to drive process improvements.

Prepare or oversee the preparation of ad-hoc financial analysis as needed throughout the year. Attributes and experiencesThe right candidate for this role will be a credible and business-focused Finance professional who brings credibility and confidence to the Finance function. Personable, approachable and with excellent communication skills, you must build successful relationships with colleagues and challenge and influence across all levels within the business. Recognised accounting qualification (ACA or CIMA preferred). Minimum of 3–5 years of relevant experience in financial leadership roles, ideally within a financial or service-oriented environment. Proven experience managing finance teams and overseeing all aspects of financial operations.

Strong knowledge of US GAAPExperience working within a shared service centre or outsourced finance model. Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain attention to detail. Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively across multicultural teams. Ability to communicate, persuade and influence decision making among peers and with senior managementAdditionally, the following experience would be advantageous: Knowledge of SAP, EPM, Zuora, Concur or BlacklineExperience gained in a US-headquartered multinationalExperience working within a shared service centre or outsourced finance modelExposure to various local GAAPs in the EMEA region
