Ocean Freight Specialist (f/m/d)

Job DescriptionWe are seeking highly motivated logistics professionals to join our Freight Forwarding branch in Vienna. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and controlling the initiatives of our Regional Freight Forwarding Operations, driving key initiatives and ensuring operational excellence. Liaison with sales to ensure required documentation/information needed for the SOP are provided.

Monitor/audit files weekly for compliance of estimate input, profit margin setting and timely invoicingAssist clients in their day by day requests related to export/import documentation in order to ensure proper execution to the transportation filesProvide clients with complete Sailing details in order to ensure proper flow in information is guaranteedLiaise with Ocean lines in order to procure the best possible solutions (capacity and cost) to be utilized upon execution of transportation filesLiaise with DPW internal Network and external Partner Agents in order to guarantee the best possible service assistanceAct quickly upon possible emergency situations that may arise within the life of an Ocean fileNetwork with your fellow Operations colleagues to ensure proper support is given in case of workflow overloadSkills And QualificationsDegree in logistics/supply chain or a similar disciplineMinimum 2 years´ experience in Freight Forwarding industry with a focus on Ocean FreightAbility to prioritize multiple tasks to meet various deadlinesIntermediate computer skills with a proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint)Strong analytical skills including ability to analyze numbers and attention to detailExcellent command in both English and GermanCompensationThe minimum monthly salary for the position is established by the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
