Job DescriptionDP World, the fast-growing logistics leader that currently manages more than 10% of world trade, is expanding its Freight Forwarding network in Slovenia!We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Freight Forwarding Field Sales Professional to join our team and drive the success of our expansion as Business Development Manager. We welcome applications from candidates based all over the country. This role is central to our growth strategy for the Logistics business. You will contribute to business objectives by acquiring and retaining new clients and driving the growth of existing accounts.

Your Responsibilities Proactively managing and nurturing client relationships by continuously monitoring the execution of operations and contracts. Your key objective will be to ensure the satisfaction of existing clients, identify exciting new opportunities, and contribute to the company’s growth, all while ensuring profitability in line with our values. Championing DP World’s services by engaging with clients through in-person/digital meetings and cold-calling. Building meaningful relationships with clients, gaining a deep understanding of their needs to provide thoughtful and tailored logistics solutions that truly make a difference.

Achieving and exceeding sales goals by continuously exploring new opportunities, growing existing client accounts, and driving profitability, all while working in a supportive team environment. Contributing to the team’s success through structured reporting, ensuring that progress and insights are clearly communicated, and actively recording key client interactions in the CRM. Taking ownership of sales opportunities by managing incoming sales leads, turning them into valuable client partnerships, and maximizing their potential. Crafting tailored offers and playing a key role in negotiations, ensuring the best outcomes for both the client and the company.

Seeking client feedback and collaborating closely with internal teams to continuously improve the services we offer and build lasting client trust. Your Profile Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing/International Trade/Logistics or equivalent. Approximately 10 years of successful experience as Business Development Manager/Sales Executive within the transport, logistics or freight forwarding industry or a similar service industry. Operational experience combined with a strategic, long-term approach to business, enabling the ability to foresee issues and plan a few steps ahead. In-depth understanding of the market, related transport regulations, challenges, and opportunities.

Full professional working proficiency in the English and Slovenian languages. Results-driven, proactive, and solutions-oriented mindset with a positive, “can-do” attitude. Customer-centric approach, empathetic listener, adept at asking insightful questions that uncover deeper insights. Clear and precise communication style, and the ability to address individuals or groups at any level with confidence and tact. Strong inclination towards continuous improvement of services and products to meet or exceed client expectations.
