Job DescriptionDay- to-day operations: Manage the day-to-day OH&S aspects of the project and to ensure that policies and procedures are implemented and complied. Maintain Firefighting equipment on board in a state of readiness. Stand-by or monitor hot work locations as per the hot work permit requirements. Monitor compliance to Hot Work procedure on assigned areas and report unsafe act/ condition. Participate in Emergency DrillsFire preventionEmergency Response to rescue of injured or trapped personnel or fighting fire. Maintenance of all fire rescue equipment.
Minimum QualificationSecondary / High school passFire and rescue trainingTrained as a fireman and served minimum three years training with a national fire brigade / shipyard. Good knowledge of Fire and Rescue techniquesFamiliar with the ship/Rig construction. Good knowledge on fire preventionGood awareness about hot work/Fire related risk and other safety related procedures
