With over 20 years of experience, we offer a turnkey consulting service to Clients.Role DescriptionWe are assisting one of our key Clients to source a Draughtsman for their Engineering Business, serving the Open Cast Mining Industry. This is a full-time on-site role located in Kathu, South Africa. The Draughtsman will be responsible for creating technical drawings, 3D models and plans using software, collaborating with engineers and the mechanical team, ensuring accuracy and compliance with standards, and revising drawings based on feedback. The role involves interpreting project requirements, preparing detailed specifications, and contributing to the design process.Skills, Competencies & QualificationsAdvanced skills/proficiency in CAD software and technical drawing skills. (AutoCad, SolidWorks, or Inventor).Strong understanding of mechanical components, systems and design principles.Must have comprehensive experience related to Heavy Earthmoving Equipment (Excavators, Dozers, Graders, Dump Trucks, etc.).Attention to detail and accuracy in work.Good communication and collaboration skills.Ability to work independently, cope with pressure and meet deadlines.Grade 12 with relevant Tertiary qualification/s in drafting, engineering, or a related field.At least 2-3 years' experience as Draughtsman in the Mechanical Engineering field & Open Cast Mining Industry (strongly preferred)Valid Driver's license and no Criminal Record.
