This role is ideal for someone with strong driving experience and an interest or background in construction—preferably landscape construction. Hard work, dedication, and teamwork are essential parts of our culture, and we welcome individuals who strive for excellence.Position SummaryThe Driver is responsible for the safe and timely pick-up and delivery of equipment and materials to various job sites. This role requires strict adherence to company policies, traffic laws, and safety procedures. The Driver will work closely with field personnel to ensure efficient, safe, and productive deliveries.Core ResponsibilitiesHold a valid Class A or B California Driver’s LicenseReceive and confirm delivery assignmentsDrive long distances across multiple countiesOperate dump trucks with trailers for equipment/material deliveriesSafely operate and load/unload equipment such as Skid Steer, Mini Ex, and DingoSecure loads using proper chains and bindersManage routes to ensure on-time deliveriesFuel equipment prior to deliveryLoad and unload cargo not requiring a two-person liftAccurately complete timecardsConduct pre- and post-trip inspections and report any defectsComplete monthly Goals & Controls accuratelyReport road incidents to SupervisorFollow all traffic and safety lawsMonitor road conditions and plan routes accordinglyMaintain accurate delivery logsAdditional DutiesKeep truck clean and organizedPerform daily equipment and fluid checksFollow proper accident proceduresReport equipment issues to Yard Technician and SupervisorInspect and verify goods before and during deliveryEducation & ExperienceHigh School Diploma or trade school certificationValid Class A or B Driver’s LicenseExperience with Skid Steer, Mini Ex, Dingo, Power Buggy preferredJohn Deere and Toro equipment experience is a plusPhysical RequirementsWork occurs in a construction/yard environmentAbility to occasionally lift up to 50 lbsAbility to stand for long periods with frequent bending and stoopingWork EnvironmentField and yard settings with exposure to heat, cold, wind, rain, dust, and dirtScheduleMonday-Friday, 5:00 AM - 1:30 PMOvertime as neededBenefitsWe offer a competitive compensation and benefits package, including: Pay: $20-$24 per hourMedical, dental, vision, life, and long-term disability insurance401(k) retirement planPaid vacation, sick time, and holidaysPierre Landscape provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability or genetics.
