The company integrates seamlessly into systems or operates independently, as preferred.Now the company expands through her chartering division and request to appoint an experienced dry bulk ship broker, preferably based in Dubai and work successfully with the trade range from Red Sea to Feast. Compensation: 💰 This is a commission-based position.You will earn a competitive commission per successful fixture, supported by SmarShip’s full post-fixture and operational backing. Excellent long-term growth potential.Role Description1. Market Research & IntelligenceMonitor global dry bulk markets, freight indices (e.g., Baltic Exchange), and trading routes.Track vessel positions, open tonnages, and cargo availability.Analyze trends in supply, demand, bunker prices, and port conditions.Prepare daily market reports and updates for clients.2. Chartering & Fixture NegotiationSource cargoes for owners or vessels for charterers.Match cargo requirements with suitable vessel types, sizes, and positions.Negotiate key commercial terms of the Charter Party (C/P) — including freight rate, laycan, demurrage/despatch, loading/discharging terms, and exceptions.Circulate and revise recaps and fixture confirmations.Ensure smooth conclusion of fixtures with clear and binding terms.3. Post-Fixture Follow-UpLiaise with owners, charterers, and operators after the fixture to ensure smooth execution.Follow up on voyage instructions, laytime statements, hire payments, and claims.Assist in resolving disputes such as demurrage, off-hire, or performance claims.Maintain communication and records throughout the voyage until redelivery.4. Client Relationship ManagementBuild and maintain long-term relationships with shipowners, operators, traders, and charterers.Provide daily communication and advisory on market movements and opportunities.Develop trust by providing accurate, transparent, and timely information.5. Documentation & ComplianceDraft, check, and circulate Charter Party agreements and addenda.Ensure compliance with sanctions, insurance, and international regulations.Verify background and creditworthiness of counterparties.Maintain professional confidentiality and ethical standards.6. Business DevelopmentExpand network and client base in specific trading regions or cargo segments.Coordinate with co-brokers and international partners to increase fixture potential.Promote company services, database expansion, and internal collaboration.QualificationsSkills in ship brokerage and cargo trading in dry bulk segmentExperience in Freight, International Trade, and Commodity MarketsStrong analytical and negotiation skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and remotelyBachelor's degree in Maritime Studies, International Trade, Business, or related field
