A leading manufacturer of medical devices is seeking a Process Engineer to join its production team at a key site in Germany. ResponsibilitiesDevelop and optimise production processes for medical devices, including equipment and tooling. Create, maintain, and approve work instructions and procedural documentation for manufacturing operations.
Design and implement new manufacturing technologies and automation solutions. Collaborate across production interfaces to ensure seamless end-to-end process development. Contribute to risk management activities related to manufacturing and production. Support root cause analysis and corrective actions within the CAPA framework. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and quality. Participate in the design transfer process from development to production. Assist with CAD design and prototype development using 3D printing technologies. Train and support production staff on new processes and technologies. RequirementsDegree in mechanical engineering, process engineering, medical technology, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years' experience in medical device manufacturing, particularly in process development and plastics processing (e. g. , injection moulding). Strong understanding of regulatory standards, especially ISO 13485. Proven track record in developing and implementing manufacturing processes. Quality-focused mindset with experience in MedTech product and process development. SkillsDeep knowledge of regulatory frameworks (GxP, ISO 13485, etc. ). Ability to gather, analyse, and act on technical information effectively. Strong grasp of process systems and their interactions within production environments. Problem-solving skills with a proactive and structured approach. Collaborative mindset with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Independent working style, flexibility, and a passion for automation and software. CAD proficiency and basic programming knowledge are a plus. Fluent German (C1) and good English (B2) required.
