Job BriefSupport the AASI Team with a wide range of Procurement, administrative and logistics activities. Australia Awards Solomon Islands (AASI) complements other Australian aid investments in Solomon Islands and aligns with the Solomon Islands National Development Strategy 2016-2035 (SINDS).  AASI is managed by DT Global on behalf of the Australian Government’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT). comThe RoleThe Procurement and Logistics Officer will support the AASI team with a wide range of procurement, logistics and operational activities. Essential Experience And Knowledge demonstrated knowledge of office operations, including procurement and accounting/ finance principles and practise, with strong administrative skills intermediate level Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel skills excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English and Solomon Islands Pidgin proven organisational skills and attention to detail, with ability to prioritise own workload, work effectively both independently and as part of a team and deliver quality outputs within agreed timeframes experience and knowledge, or ability to quickly develop, of DFAT strategies, systems, processes, and development program requirements Desirable Personal Attributes, Skills, And Experience demonstrated interpersonal, communication, and cross-cultural skills, with the ability develop and maintain effective relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders high degree of personal initiative, innovative, lateral thinking, and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines commitment to a capacity development approach, teamwork, and ability to build constructive and effective relationships, and patience, self-awareness, resilience, and flexibility.
