The Durham District School Board acknowledges that many Indigenous Nations have longstanding relationships, both historic and modern, with the territories upon which our school board and schools are located. Today, this area is home to many Indigenous peoples from across Turtle Island. We acknowledge that the Durham Region forms a part of the traditional and treaty territory of the Mississaugas of Scugog Island First Nation, the Mississauga Peoples and the treaty territory of the Chippewas of Georgina Island First Nation. It is on these ancestral and treaty lands that we teach, live and learn.

Students in these settings have a variety of needs that are supported through Trauma Informed Practices and require a multi- disciplinary approach to programming. Student needs are supported through diverse programming. Programs utilize Chromebooks and a variety of technology resources.
The focus of programming is literacy and numeracy with an emphasis on gap closing. Individual students may require support for integration, social and learning skills. Students in this setting may have high needs and/or a formal identification. Special Education Part One is required, additional qualifications or knowledge of Structured Teaching, Mental Health first aid, and UDL would be an asset. Grove School is made up of classrooms that are located in both transitional (within community schools) and offsite settings across the Durham Region. Grade(s)/assignment:
