Are YOU our next Clinical Laboratory Assistant? We’re looking for a Clinical Laboratory Assistant to join our Histology team in Brampton, Ontario. You will be responsible for the preparation of samples and/or reagents for routine processing. Perform simple non-interpretive tests under the technical oversight of a Senior Clinical Laboratory Assistant or Medical Laboratory Technologist as required. Ensure quality control checks and standards are run as required. Independently perform simple non-interpretive tests escalating to a qualified Medical Laboratory Technologist for support and guidance as required. Ensure quality control checks and standards are run as required.

Participate in all quality assurance programs and ensure company and Ministry of Health (MOH) guidelines are observed. Perform routine maintenance of laboratory equipment as appropriate and deal with problems that arise. Your contributions will make a difference and will greatly impact the downstream solutions and treatment critical to saving someone’s life. Medical Laboratory Assistant Certification required or graduate of an approved laboratory assistant course or Diploma/Degree in Health or Science requiredExcellent data entry skills requiredAbility to multi-task in a fast-paced environmentExcellent verbal and written English communication skillsStrong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team centered environment Nice To HaveKnowledge of AS400 Data Entry system/LISExperience in HistologyMLPAO designation Working ConditionsRequired continuous standing/walking with use of fine motor skillsRequired to perform some carrying and lifting a maximum of 30 poundsExposed to biohazardous substances, chemicals and noise variancesShift work required Passionate about supporting healthy lives with commitment and care?
