MLM, is seeking a Dynamics and Environmental Engineering Specialist to join our engineering team. The role involves performing advanced analyses and tests to characterize dynamic and environmental conditions for airborne and ground systems.The position includes:• Performing dynamic analyses using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) tools to evaluate environmental conditions such as vibration and shock• Conducting modal analyses of airborne systems to assess their dynamic properties, including natural frequencies and mode shapes• Researching and implementing new methods and models for assessing unique environmental conditions• Planning, executing, and analyzing results from dynamic tests such as vibration, pyrotechnic shock, and acoustic tests• Supporting system-level flight tests, analyzing measurements, and applying results to environmental assessments• Defining environmental requirement specifications for both airborne and ground equipment, supporting qualification processes, and approving complianceWhat we’re looking for:• BSc in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering – required• Relevant advanced degree – an advantage• At least 3 years of experience in structural or dynamic analysis or testing – required (academic research or project work in a relevant field will be considered experience)• Experience with engineering programming tools (MATLAB, Python) – required• Strong sense of ownership and the ability to lead tasks independently• Proven ability to work in a matrix environment with multiple interfaces• Experience with Nastran/Patran software – an advantage• Knowledge of signal processing and random process analysis (vibration, shock) – an advantage• Familiarity with environmental engineering standards (MIL-STD-810 or equivalent) – an advantageGood to know:MLM is part of the Missiles and Space Systems Division, which provides solutions, systems, and products in the fields of missile systems, space technology, communications, and navigation.
