We use data to prevent problems, unmask hidden value, accelerate decisions, and drive overall employee device experience improvements across the Device Experience Team primarily but also across wider parts of Cisco ITYour ImpactLearn from a team of Data experts who will challenge you and help you grow working with a wide range of datasets around laptop and mobile devices and collaborate with various teams including, Device Security, Mac, Windows, Mobile, Linux and Asset Management and moreYou will primarily work with our data engineering team to identify and bring together new datasets and maintain existing data import capabilities whilst proactively maintaining critical metric consistency across various dashboardsMinimum QualificationsWe are looking for someone that can demonstrate the following:Including but not limited to a recent/upcoming graduate of a Bachelor’s degree (or higher) or a certification program (e.g. a Bootcamp or Apprenticeship). Equivalent experience accepted in lieu of theseHigh level understanding of how to manage the lifecycle of data and tools such as DBT, Github, Snowflake (or similar systems).Experience of using SQL and/or Python to manipulate dataAble to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences and vice versa – if you can explain complex parts of your degree to a friend on a completely different course, that’s what we needAble to legally live and work in the UkPreferred QualificationsSome experience using BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau or ThougthSpot are advantageous, but not essentialKnowledge of Agile and JiraCurious about how things work and how they can be improvedA good listener who can get to the heart of what people really need, not just what they tell us is the solutionAbility to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholdersAble to use data to understand how a process is working or where it is going wrongPassionate about and committed to lifelong learning – willing to invest time in training and developing your skills to help the team improveWhy Cisco?At Cisco, we’re revolutionizing how data and infrastructure connect and protect organizations in the AI era – and beyond.
