Summery: The Project Planner is responsible for developing, updating, and maintaining time schedules for construction projects to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery. The role involves coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to reflect accurate progress, anticipate delays, and support decision-making through professional planning tools and techniques. Job Duties:
Prepare, develop, and maintain project baseline schedules using Primavera P6 or MS ProjectDevelop Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), define activities, durations, sequences, and resource allocationsCoordinate with engineering, procurement, and site teams to gather schedule inputMonitor actual progress against planned timelines and update project schedules accordinglyPerform delay analysis and recommend recovery and mitigation strategiesIssue weekly and monthly schedule updates, look-ahead reports, and highlight risksSupport planning input in Extension of Time (EOT) claims and contractual documentationTrack progress, manpower, equipment, and material deliveries aligned with scheduleIntegrate cost and resource loading into schedules when requiredLiaise with project managers and site engineers to validate progress dataIdentify and assess scheduling risks and propose corrective measuresMaintain documentation of all planning-related changes and approvalsParticipate in progress meetings and present schedule status to internal/external stakeholdersAssist in the preparation of project control reports for internal and client useRequirementsEnsure planning compliance with contract requirements and company procedures.
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or a related field(Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience in project scheduling for construction projects, preferably EPC or large-scale building projectsProven experience in developing and maintaining schedules using Primavera P6Experience with delay analysis, EOT, and contractual support is preferred
