About This OpportunityMeals on Wheels has been in operation for 70 years, we are a not-for-profit organisation that relies heavily upon dedicated volunteers to assist with the delivery of a nutritious meal while also providing social connection and a wellbeing check to our communities most vulnerable.Meals on Wheels assists frail, older people, people with disabilities and other individuals to maintain their independence by enabling them to live in their homes and communities for as long as possible. Without the support of Meals on Wheels, many individuals may need to move to a nursing home or assisted living facility.We are seeking volunteers to undertake multiple tasks at our office location in St Helens as well as delivering to the surrounding areas of St Helens 7216, Fingal 7214, St Mary's, Bicheno, Coles Bay 7215 and Spring Beach 7910.Volunteering provides a sense of purpose and fulfillment, extends social connections, provides an opportunity to develop skills and communication and is a valuable addition to a resume.
