You will operate the Planet Fitness group fitness program (PE@PF), providing guidance, teaching classes, and delivering an excellent experience in our Judgement Free Zone®. Key ResponsibilitiesClass Scheduling & Program Management: Create and manage the class schedule for members, which includes orientation and the Develop Your Own Program (DYOP) sessions. Member Engagement: Proactively engage with members on the club floor to discuss their fitness goals. Assist with equipment usage and provide support as needed. Promote Judgement Free Zone®:
Actively support the club's mission by connecting with members, offering assistance, and providing encouragement as they work toward their fitness goals, all while adhering to club policies. Club Floor Walks: Frequently perform a walk-through of all fitness areas to ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. Address issues promptly when identified. Member Tours & Calls: Conduct prospective member calls and tours, assessing their fitness needs and offering personal training services to help them meet their goals. Daily Responsibilities: Greet members and guests as they enter and exit the club, addressing any questions or concerns.
Answer phone calls in a friendly, helpful manner, providing assistance as needed. Consistently clean and sanitize all fitness equipment and Black Card spa amenities, ensuring a hygienic and comfortable experience for all members. Maintain clean, stocked, and clutter-free restrooms by following the scheduled cleaning routine. QualificationsCertified Personal Trainer through a recognized certification organization (e. g. , ACE, NASM, NSCA, or similar). Knowledge of exercise physiology, strength training, and cardiovascular conditioning. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and inspire others. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently.
CPR/AED certification (or ability to obtain it within a specified timeframe). A passion for fitness and helping others succeed. Physical DemandsAbility to demonstrate exercises, assist members with their form, and lead group fitness classes. Regularly walk, stand, and move around the fitness areas and club, ensuring member engagement and safety. Occasionally lift and move fitness equipment and materials of up to 75lbs. Ability to spend long periods on your feet and be physically active throughout the shift. Must have the physical stamina to demonstrate exercises, assist with equipment setup, and perform regular cleaning duties.
Ability to bend, kneel, or squat when needed to clean or assist with member needs.
