Job Description

Performs the following duties in the processing of orders from initiation of the Bill of Material through processing and completion of that order using the Oracle system: Reviews availability of items for manufacturing of engineered apparatus, YR and Service Parts. Picks parts and issues them to the Storeroom via the Oracle System. Provides the status of items. Processes the paperwork necessary to correct defective items (NCRs) and Engineered Change Controls (ECCs). Such notifications include cancellation notices, route sheet replacements, special engineering instructions, material substitutions, etc. Advises the Drafting Department of errors found on drawing part numbers, material, etc.

, and procures additional ordering information as required. Uses personal computer and printer to retrieve required process documents. Physically verifies balance on-hand in storeroom or shop floor as required. Assists in eliminating manufacturing bottlenecks as directed. Assists in taking various inventories as required. Reads and interprets engineering drawings, bill of materials, spec. releases and SEIs. Performs related duties as directed. Assists in training as necessary. Assists in processing discrete jobs. Packages and delivers books for manufacturing in the shop. Qualifications include Associate's Degree or 5 years’ experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Must pass divisional testing that includes blueprint and Microsoft Word and Excel. Strong computer knowledge and able to learn new software easily. Excellent communication skills. Ability to work with different departments on an ongoing basis. Must be able to understand basic mechanical drawings and sketches. Very detailed oriented with the ability to manage several projects at a time. Must be flexible and able to work in a fast-paced environment. Experience with bill of materials and knowledge of manufacturing processes preferred.

An ideal candidate will want to learn more on the processes and procedures to assist planning in future growth of the assigned department. Must be able to work any shift.
