Job Description JOB PURPOSETo execute businesses in the areas of project finance, mergers & acquisition, equity and debt capital markets as well as structured finance of the assigned hub including inter alia: ▪ To assist private and public companies in their external growth operations (sale and/or acquisition of companies, equity investments, etc. )▪ To advise top management or decision-makers (managers, shareholders, etc. ) in the context of the mobilization of financial resources (debt, equity or quasi-equity) through complex financial arrangements▪ To assist various clients on financial issues. Infrastructure financing in PPP transactions.
JOB CONTEXT ▪ Work in the Anglophone/Francophone hub to execute investment banking transactions (financial advisory, corporate finance and capital market deals). ▪ The incumbent is frequently requested to provide financial reliable information and analysis. Key Responsibilities▪ Prepare pitch books, proposals, term sheets, mandate letters, memorandums, teasers and marketing materials. ▪ Assist the Coverage bankers in marketing as and when required. ▪ Undertake advanced financial analysis and modelling using Excel or other tools, where required. ▪ Assist in due diligence and execution of transactions. ▪ Assist and support in transaction structuring. ▪ Develop a knowledge of specific sectors over time.
▪ Developing relationships with clients including gaining a good knowledge of the client’s businesses, economic drivers, market and sector requirements in order to ensure advice is relevant and commercial. ▪ Source, establish market inference and interpret market data/information using valuation methodologies. Knowledge, Skills & ExperienceExperience & Qualifications ▪ Minimum experience of 4-6 years in Investment Banking / Private Equity▪ Bachelor’s/master’s degree in Banking, Finance, Economics or related fieldSkills, Capabilities & Attributes▪ Superior written and oral communication skills. ▪ Proficient in all Microsoft Office Tools. ▪ Numeracy skills. ▪ Attention to details. ▪ Curious, adaptable, rigorous and proactive. ▪ Good presentation skills.
▪ Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team. ▪ Highly motivated. ▪ Strong valuation skills. ▪ Strong analytical, quantitative, problem-solving skills (incl. inter alia financial challenges associated with complex operations). ▪ Excellent knowledge of project finance (Infrastructure, PPP and large industrial/real estate projects). ▪ Strong analytical skills and ability to conceptualize financial issues to define and propose pragmatic solutions.
